The Woodland Cottage is a
playhouse, a small workshop, or an attractive storage shed. This is truly a
small house. Features include double paned vinyl windows, a childs Dutch
door, an adult sized rear door, flower boxes, and a loft (with a ladder &
railings) above the large front porch. Your children will not outgrow this house
until they purchase their own. The Woodland Cottage stands almost 10 tall and
is 8 wide by 12 long.
The cottage is heavily
constructed of solid wood and plywood. The floor, wall, and roof framing is 2x4
fir lumber, the walls are covered with tapered lap siding over plywood
sheathing, the interior floor is 3/4 plywood, the porch is 1x4 fir decking,
the roof is 1/2 plywood.
The Woodland Cottage is
delivered stained and painted. The walls are pre-built panels. The
windows, doors, railings, flower boxes, and ladder are completely assembled. You
just screw it together and finish the roof.

With
basic construction skills, the Woodland Cottage can be assembled in a
weekend. All screws and hardware are included.

services are available on a limited basis. Please contact us for

The
playhouse is built upon
two 4x4 pressure treated skids which rest on concrete patio blocks. These are
not included in most kits because of shipping size and weight. They are
readily available at most home improvement stores for minimal cost.
The Woodland Cottage includes the 1/2 plywood roof panels but not the roof shingles or tar
paper (too heavy to ship). |
Tools
required: Powered Screwdriver/drill, Level, (2) C-clamps, Measuring Tape,
Drill bits, #2 Phillips bit, #2 square drive bit (included in kit), 6 step
ladder.
Optional
tools (highly recommended - can be rented): Air powered roofing stapler,
roof brackets/anchors, additional ladders, and a second person to help out.

code for a quote on shipping costs. At order placement, a 40% deposit will
be required. The balance will be due before shipment. We will accept
